Waveland Strong invites the public to this year’s Veterans Cruise-In on Friday, June 26th. According to a press release sent by the organization, it’ll be at the town park on Howard Street starting at 5:30 p.m. This will serve as a fundraiser for its planned Veteran’s Memorial project. The event is sponsored by Stevenson Automotive.
Classic and modern cars are eligible to participate. The first 25 cars registered that night will receive a dash plaque and goodie bag. Food and craft vendors will also be on-site, with baked goods, jewelry, and clothes slated to be available for purchase. Spaces remain available.
A Veteran Quilt Raffle will begin at 7 p.m. Each of the five available quilts, which are currently on display at the Waveland Public Library, were handmade by town residents. Tickets will go on sale for $5 a piece, or 5 tickets for $20. A separate 50/50 and wash bucket raffle will be held, with all proceeds going towards the Veteran’s Memorial. Some of the quilts can be viewed below.

The Brown Lucky Leaf 4-H Club will also be serving concessions. On the menu will be pulled pork, hamburgers, and hot dogs. They will also have a booth with sand art and beads for the kids to make. A bounce house is planned.
Live music featuring The Dapper Dan Band will begin at 6pm. Shawn, Danny, Joey, and the Blanton Family will perform classic rock, blues, and country.
Interested vendors are encouraged to contact Amy Isenberg by phone at 765-376-1591.
