Crawfordsville mayor appointed to national policy makers council

The City of Crawfordsville announced Mayor Todd Barton’s three-year appointment to the American Public Power Association’s (APPA) Policy Makers Council. Mayor Barton will join three other constituents representing Region Two, which encompasses the states of Indiana, Illinois, Michigan, Ohio, and Wisconsin.

The Policy Makers Council of the APPA is made up of various elected officials from public power communities across the United States. They discuss issues twice annually in Washington, D.C., such as energy reliability, emissions reduction, and infrastructure investment. Over 2,000 such companies are represented by the APPA.

Mayor Barton stated in a city press release that he “look(s) forward to advocating for policies that support our communities”.
