Crawfordsville author and North Montgomery High School graduate Lucinda Crowe Layne will host a book signing for her newest release titled “Broken into Beautiful: God’s Not Done Writing My Story”. It will be at In His Time Books and Gifts at 113 S. Washington St. in Crawfordsville on Thursday, July 23, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

“The book was inspired by the amount of time I’ve spent in county jails as a curriculum writer and talking to female inmates,” said Layne. “They’ve inspired me in ways I never would have imagined. Once I started writing curriculum, I thought that I needed to turn this into a book. It’s such a humbling experience.”
Copies of the book will be available for purchase and signing at the event.
WCDQ had the chance to talk with Layne alongside her publicist and friend Mary Smith. Listen to the full interview below.
