The Friends of Linden, Inc. held their annual easter egg hunt this past Saturday. The hunt was moved inside North Cornerstone Church off U.S. 231 due to forecasted heavy rain. Dozens of families helped clean the church floors of eggs, prizes, and even bicycles to a select few. The Friends of Linden stated they were grateful for the continued support from community partners, and the church as well for allowing the easter egg hunt to be moved indoors.
Their next events will be a movie night on Saturday, July 18, followed by the Linden Fall Festival on September 26 from 1 until 3 p.m. Both are scheduled to be held at Bulldog Park off Water St. in Linden.
This year’s movie night will present the 2001 animated comedy Shrek. Free concessions begin at 8 p.m. Everything, including food, will be free of charge to the public. More info about the fall festival will arrive at a later date.
