A suspect arrested following a SWAT incident in Linden Wednesday afternoon has been booked into the Montgomery County Jail. Two separate arrest warrants were served to 35-year-old Mizael Vargas-Rosas of Indianapolis: one being in Hamilton County for charges related to drug dealing and carrying a handgun without a license, and another for charges of domestic battery and fraud in Montgomery County.

Dozens of officers from different agencies assisted in arresting Vargas-Rosas as he barricaded himself inside the residence on the 200 block of West Water Street. It took around 3 hours for officers to enter the home and apprehend him. He has since been charged with resisting law enforcement. He’s currently being held without bond.
Assisting agencies included the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Department, the Crawfordsville Police Department, and the Crawfordsville Fire Department.
