The 19th annual TASTE of Montgomery County returns to the grounds of the General Lew Wallace Study and Museum on Saturday, Aug. 22, from noon until 9 p.m. The annual fundraising event benefits the Lew Wallace Study Preservation Society, which helps maintain the artifacts and legacy of its namesake.
Restaurants and caterers showcasing their cuisine this year include Acai Bowls & More; Gordo’s Food Truck; Swick’s Kitchen & Emporium; Four Seasons Local Market; China Inn; The Juniper Spoon; Smokin’ Melts & Rollin’ Dough; Crawfordsville Country Club; Chavez Kettle Corn; Keke’s Kravings; Greek’s Pizzeria; Wildcat Creek Winery; and Klooz Brewz.
The day will also feature three live musical performances. They include Mark Stansbury from 1-3 p.m.; The Big Swing Band from 4-6 p.m.; and Common Ground from 7-9 p.m.
“We’re really excited about the food menu selection this year,” said Larry Paarlberg, who is the director of the General Lew Wallace Study & Museum. “We’ve also got great music and sponsorships lined up. All of it makes the TASTE possible.”
Volunteers for this year’s event have also been requested. Those interested can reserve a timeslot online here, or by calling the Museum at 765-362-5769. Volunteers receive free entry, and a choice between a free T-shirt or 10 food tickets.
