The 2026 high school football season will begin this Friday, Aug. 21.
Dave Peach, the general manager for the radio stations in Crawfordsville, announced in a press release an extensive lineup of local high school football coverage for the 2026 season on WIMC and WCDQ.
Beginning August 21, WIMC and WCDQ will broadcast high school football games every Friday night throughout the season. Coverage will feature the Crawfordsville Athenians, North Montgomery Chargers, and Southmont Mounties as they compete in the Monon Athletic Conference.
“High school sports bring our community together, and we look forward to once again telling the stories of our local student athletes,” Peach said. “Local sports coverage is part of our DNA at Crawfordsville Radio. Everyone in the building is dedicated to providing the best coverage we possibly can.”
The stations’ coverage team will include Sports Director Jeff Nelson, along with Bob Cox, Brett Cating, Barry Lewis, Rob Hinckley, Tom Perkins, Landon Coons and Deontae Peete. Together, the team will provide play-by-play, analysis and community-focused storytelling throughout the football season.

In addition to Friday night broadcasts, fans can hear coaches and sports discussions every Saturday morning on the Montgomery County Sports Review, presented by Arni’s of Crawfordsville. The live program airs from 8 to 9 a.m. at The Breakfast Company on WIMC 103.9. The program is hosted by Bob Cox and Heather Shirk.
The stations also announced that York Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram Fiat of Crawfordsville will serve as the presenting sponsor of high school football and other local sports coverage during the 2026 season.
“We believe it is important to support our local schools and student-athletes,” said Kory Warren, who is the general manager of York Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram Fiat of Crawfordsville. “We don’t feel like this is just a sponsorship with the radio station. We see it as a partnership with the community. High school sports on the radio aren’t just for the athletes. It’s for the parents, grandparents, siblings, aunts, uncles, etc., who can’t make it to the game for any reason.”
Crawfordsville Radio’s sports coverage can be heard throughout the season on WIMC and WCDQ and through the stations’ digital platforms.
