The Montgomery County Community Foundation (MCCF) held its annual meeting Thursday evening at the HHSB Success Center in Crawfordsville.
During the meeting, they recognized its board of directors and full-time staff; held regular business; and presented the 2026 Volunteer of the Year award. Out of 9 nominees, Tina Martin of FISH in Montgomery County was selected. Martin is also the director for the FISH Linen Closet.
“I’ve loved to be able to help so many people. It’s brought me a lot of love and new friends,” said Martin. “I have a very big passion for volunteering.”
The other nominees were Cathy Crosby for the Women’s Resource Center; Dee Dee Jones for Pam’s Promise Transitional Housing; Kate Lindsay for the Indiana Youth Group (IYG); Naomi Horton for the Montgomery County Free Clinic; Natasha Headdy for the Montgomery County United Band and Guard; Jake Peterson for the Boys & Girls Club of Montgomery County; Bill Durbin for the Veterans Memorial Park; and Maria Weir for the League of Women Voters of Montgomery County.
