AWL partners with Best Friends Animal Society and Walmart for adoption event

The Animal Welfare League of Montgomery County (AWL) will be set up at the Walmart in Brownsburg this weekend for a special adoption event. 15 dogs and 15 cats will be available for adoption on Saturday, May 16, from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. Adoption fees are waived, however approved applications are required. The Montgomery County Courthouse was rededicated Wednesday afternoon following last year's renovations. The structure was completed 150 years ago in 1876, where it was opened to the public in bombastic fanfare and festivities. Montgomery County government invites the public to a rededication ceremony for the county courthouse on Wednesday, May 6, at noon.
