Registration opens for North Montgomery ELA

North Montgomery School Corporation has opened registration to their Early Learning Academy (ELA) and Kindergarten programs for the 2026-27 school year. The program encompasses the district's three schools: Pleasant Hill, Sommer, and Sugar Creek. Tuition for each program includes: ELA (3-year-olds): $300 per month for half days, or $400 per month for full days. ELA (4-year-olds): $400 per month for full days. Kindergarten: Free. Strawberry Festival planning committee passes gavel

The Crawfordsville Strawberry Festival Steering Committee held their first meeting of the year to start the planning process for this year's festival. On top of the agenda was a passing of the gavel from longtime chairperson of the festival, S. David Long, to Jessica McClamroch, who served as co-chairperson in 2025. The Montgomery County Clerk's Office released the complete list of declared candidates for the local 2026 midterm elections Friday. There are dozens of different district, county, city, and township offices up for grabs this season. Primaries for the State of Indiana will begin on Tuesday, May 5th. 10 Wabash students earn Orr Fellowships

10 Wabash seniors have earned Orr Fellowships this year, placing the College third overall behind Purdue's 18 and IU's 11. The recognitions guarantee each recipient a two-year salaried position with some of Indiana's high-growth companies. The recipients are named as follows: Dylan Haslett, J. County Soil & Water Conservation District holds 84th annual meeting

The Montgomery County Soil & Water Conservation District will host their 84th annual meeting on Tuesday, February 17th at the Stone Creek Lodge in Crawfordsville. The meeting provides a year-in-review that features networking; a catered dinner from Swick's Kitchen and Emporium; a keynote presentation; and the awarding of the 2025 Conservationist of the Year. The Montgomery County Community Foundation (MCCF) announced two series of events aimed to develop professional skills in a variety of areas.
