Lane Place joins thousands in reading of Declaration of Independence

The Montgomery County Historical Society hosted a public reading of the Declaration of Independence on the front lawn Wednesday evening. This is in commemoration of the first public reading of the Declaration on July 8, 1776, from the former State House in Philadelphia, PA. Reps cover local issues at City-County Legislative Lunch

Approximately 40 people ventured to Hoosier Heartland State Bank's Success Center off U.S. 231 for the Chamber of Commerce's City-County Legislative Lunch Thursday. Following a lunch catered by Swick's Kitchen and Emporium, a panel consisting of local representatives addressed a variety of topics ranging from childcare to state legislature. Friends of Scouting to host 5th annual Breakfast for Scouting

The Friends of Scouting in Crawfordsville invites the public to the 5th annual Breakfast for Scouting on Wednesday, March 18. Crawfordsville mayor appointed to national policy makers council

The City of Crawfordsville announced Mayor Todd Barton's three-year appointment to the American Public Power Association's (APPA) Policy Makers Council. Mayor Barton will join three other constituents representing Region Two, which encompasses the states of Indiana, Illinois, Michigan, Ohio, and Wisconsin. The Policy Makers Council of the APPA is made up of various elected officials from public power communities across the United States.
