Stockwell cafe closes early after reports of shooting suspect nearby

Stockwell Cafe and Pizza closed early Tuesday night after receiving reports of a Lafayette shooting suspect being discovered nearby. Stockwell is a small town located a few minutes north of the Montgomery-Tippecanoe county line. Lafayette police is currently searching for 37-year-old Adam Joseph McDaniel, who is accused of shooting a man and abducting a 7-year-old child from a residence in the 700 block of Olivia Place. INDOT to implement all-way stop on intersection of U.S. 231 and S.R. 234

The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) announced in a press release the implementation of an all-way stop at the intersection of U.S. 231 and State Road 234 just down the road from Southmont High School. Signage will be installed starting on or after Monday, April 13. Voter registration deadline approaches next week

The deadline for voter registration in Indiana is about close next week. The final day to register for the 2026 midterm primaries will be on Monday, April 6 at midnight.
