Portion of State Road 47 near New Market about to close until June

The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) is going to close a portion of State Road 47 beginning on or after Monday, April 6. According to their release, crews will close S.R. 47 between County Road 600 S. and C.R. 700 S., located south of Crawfordsville High School. Educational Foundation highlights advancements in learning through grants

The Montgomery County Educational Foundation (MCEF) held its annual Teacher Grant Breakfast on Thursday morning. Around 150 attendees showed up to the Crawfordsville District Public Library to view a presentation that highlighted how its grants have helped teachers in the community support their classrooms through improved technology; hands-on based learning initiatives; and tailored accommodations for their students. Intermittent lane closures on I-74 to begin Monday

The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) announced intermittent left lane closures on Interstate 74 between Crawfordsville and Brownsburg. Beginning on or after March 23, workers are going to install a cable barrier in the median between State Road 32 and State Road 267. Crawfordsville Winter Guard wins state championship for second year in a row

Crawfordsville High School's Winter Guard are now state champions for the second year in a row. They got a score of 81.0 following state competition at Decatur Central High School Saturday. The team competed against 16 schools that were part of Regional A in the Hayes Division. This year's score is a new personal record for the high school. Their program was titled "Sunset". Four suspects arrested following early morning ATM heist

Four suspects have been apprehended following an early morning ATM machine heist at the Fountain Trust Bank branch at 1700 E. Main Street in Crawfordsville. According to a press release from the City of Crawfordsville, the ATM machine was ripped from its concrete foundation at approximately 4:30 a.m. Sunday morning. Crawfordsville awarded $750k grant for wastewater improvements

The City of Crawfordsville announced in a press release that they were awarded a $750,000 grant to replace its ageing digester lids used in wastewater treatment. The award, called a Community Development Block Grant, is given through the Indiana Office of Community and Rural Affairs (OCRA). Digester lids are used to support the anaerobic digestion process that breaks down waste into nutrient-rich digestate, converting it into environmentally-friendly fertilizer and other agriculture byproducts. The City of Crawfordsville announced in a press release that it has reached an agreement with Greene Realty LLC regarding the site of the destroyed former One Way Pentecostal Apostolic Church on Thursday. The Montgomery County Superior Court 2 entered an Agreed Judgment in favor of the City, stating that a "nuisance condition exists" at the property, which is currently nothing but rubble.
