The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) is going to close a portion of State Road 47 beginning on or after Monday, April 6. According to their release, crews will close S.R. 47 between County Road 600 S. and C.R. 700 S., located south of Crawfordsville High School. This portion is located between the area of Lake Holiday and New Market.
INDOT is going to replace a box culvert in that area, which are commonly used in bridges and tunnels. Construction is expected to last through June, weather permitting.
The official detour around the closure follows S.R. 234 to U.S. 231, back to S.R. 47.
