Crawfordsville, Montgomery County receives $1.2 million combined in grants for road improvement projects

Indiana Gov. Mike Braun and representatives of INDOT stopped by the Montgomery County Government Center Tuesday morning to award a portion of this fiscal year's Community Crossings grant money to communities in west central Indiana. The Community Crossings program, which started in 2016, awards Indiana cities, towns, and counties grant money to help fund road infrastructure and maintenance projects. Schenck Road in Crawfordsville to close until October

The Indiana Department of Transportation announced the closure of Schenck Road in Crawfordsville starting Monday. Beginning on or after June 1, local contractors will close Schenck Road between the stop sign at Big Four Arch Road and Wabash Avenue.
