The Indiana Department of Transportation announced the closure of Schenck Road in Crawfordsville starting Monday.
Beginning on or after June 1, local contractors will close Schenck Road between the stop sign at Big Four Arch Road and Wabash Avenue. According to the release, the purpose of this closure is to tie in the existing Schenck Road to the new section of roadway. This project is expected to last until October, weather permitting.
The official detour around the closure follows Russell Avenue to Jennison Street.
