Lane Place joins thousands in reading of Declaration of Independence

The Montgomery County Historical Society hosted a public reading of the Declaration of Independence on the front lawn Wednesday evening. This is in commemoration of the first public reading of the Declaration on July 8, 1776, from the former State House in Philadelphia, PA. The Montgomery County Youth Service Bureau (YSB) has announced the date for this year's National Night Out. The completely free event will be on Tuesday, July 28, from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Held annually at Milligan Park, it includes free hotdog meals, free popcorn, exotic animals from Silly Safari, fire trucks, police vehicles, a DJ, bounce houses, caricaturists, a foam party, as well as giveaways. Crawfordsville Pride seeking sponsors for this year’s Pride Festival

Crawfordsville Pride is currently seeking sponsors and donations for this year's Pride Festival. Held annually since 2024, the festival celebrates the LGBTQ+ community through vendors, music, and inclusivity. Currently, no date has been set for 2026. The goal for this year is $5,000. Boys and Girls Club celebrates 70 years of service to community

The Boys and Girls Club of Montgomery County celebrated 70 years of operation Thursday morning with a popper celebration hosted by the Crawfordsville | Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce. Durham Foundation partners with community foundation for new initiative

The Durham Foundation, formerly Durham Home Inc., has partnered with the Montgomery County Community Foundation to create a new initiative. According to its press release, the initiative is called "The Durham Foundation Community Child Care Assistance Pass Through Fund". Its purpose is to assist local working parents with the costs of licensed nonprofit childcare in Montgomery County.
