Around 12,000 eggs dotted the General Lew Wallace Study & Museum Saturday afternoon as the Community Egg Hunt got underway. Within minutes, local egg hunters helped pick the grounds clean of candy and treats. One hunter out of each grade group also took home a bicycle after finding a rare golden egg. Linden Depot Museum set to open for 2026 season

The Linden Depot Museum is preparing to open its doors for the 2026 season. Starting Friday, April 3, visitors from across the country are invited to view its expansive collection of train memorabilia inside of an historic depot. Some of their exhibits include a caboose, an 1837 steam locomotive, and various trinkets such as pocket watches, train signals, and an entire fully-modeled town that serves as a celebration for locomotive history. Community foundation to host free family fun day

The Montgomery County Community Foundation (MCCF) invites local families to its Family Fun Day. The free event is going to be held at Crawfordsville High School on Saturday, April 11, from 9:30 until 11:30 a.m. Snacks, games, music, and a chance to touch-a-truck are only some of the activities planned. Friends of Linden launches 2026 fundraising campaign

Friends of Linden Inc., a local 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, has officially kicked off its annual fundraising campaign to support a full season of free, family-friendly community events. In 2025, the organization raised approximately $9,000 in monetary donations, which funded three major community events: The Linden Easter Egg Hunt, Linden Movie Night, and The Linden Fall Festival. Matt and Rachel Stine, the owners of Oak Hill Tree Farm in Crawfordsville, received the Forward Thinker Award on Feb. 5. The award, which is presented by Farm Credit Mid-America, "recognizes young agricultural producers who demonstrate innovation; sound financial management; and a forward-looking vision for the future of agriculture".
