The Montgomery County Youth Service Bureau (YSB) has announced the date for this year's National Night Out. Crawfordsville man dies following fatal crash on U.S. 231

A Crawfordsville man was killed following a fatal car crash Monday morning. According to a press release from the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office, emergency personnel were dispatched to U.S. 231 S. and Spring Road in Parkersburg at around 6:30 a.m. to a report of a collision involving a 2024 tri-axle dump truck and a 2026 GMC Sierra. Crawfordsville, Montgomery County receives $1.2 million combined in grants for road improvement projects

Indiana Gov. Mike Braun and representatives of INDOT stopped by the Montgomery County Government Center Tuesday morning to award a portion of this fiscal year's Community Crossings grant money to communities in west central Indiana. The Community Crossings program, which started in 2016, awards Indiana cities, towns, and counties grant money to help fund road infrastructure and maintenance projects. Crawfordsville Pride is currently seeking sponsors and donations for this year's Pride Festival. Bridge to close soon in Yountsville for construction

The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) announced a bridge closure that will impact State Road 32 in Yountsville. Work is expected to begin on or after Monday, July 6.According to its statement, INDOT contractors will close the S.R. 32 bridge over Mill Creek, which is located near County Road 400 W. The Indiana Department of Transportation announced a road closure that will impact State Road 32 west of Crawfordsville. Beginning on or after Monday, July 6, INDOT contractors will close S.R. 32 over McFarland Ditch, which is located between County Road 900 W. and C.R. 830 W.
